A series is a method for organising information in a MAST report, used in order to subdivide the category.

How a series appears in the report depends on which view is selected:

  • In Grid View, series appear as column titles
  • In a Chart View column chart, series appear as different colours in the legend

Reports can use any available dimension as a series. The dimension currently selected as a series is displayed when the Series (Columns) tab at the bottom of the report is clicked. It is possible to select multiple dimensions as series in the same report, in which case they will be nested in the order in which they were added.

By default, blank reports have no series selected.
