Mosaic Public Sector 2009 was a socio-demographic classification system covering the whole of the United Kingdom which was first published by Experian in 2009. It classified the community represented by each UK postcode into one of 15 groups and 69 types. Each group embraced between 3 and 7 types.
This classification was created with a methodology similar to that used for the more recent classification system, which is known as Mosaic 2014.
An even older version of Mosaic, known as Mosaic 2003, is no longer supported in MAST.
